You are here for one reason and one reason only, your crimes. Of the many hundreds of thousands of people serving life in prison, you alone were chosen.
This is not because of your innocence, but your skillset and potential.
You will be sent to a world we have come to call "Universe B."
It came about in our attempts to harness the technology of teleportation.
Instead of our universe, the portal leads to a hostile and barren place.
It is empty of life we label as normal yet teeming with beings that shouldn’t be alive. They are hunters.
Predators of a kind we have never encountered.
Out of the thousands we've tested, none have surpassed out expectations.
But you… you are different. Your high intelligence, strength, and willpower set you apart from others. We believe that you may succeed where so many before you have failed. You may very well be the first to step back across and return to us. Your mission, while seemingly simple, will be way more daunting than you realize. You must locate and secure a liquid compound known to us as "MFD."
We cannot tell you the specifics but do know it holds a power that is essential for life on this planet. Once you have secured this compound, you will return. If successful, you will walk free, your record wiped clean at our discretion.

Additionally, be aware that you may not be alone.
You may be teamed with up to three other individuals each one selected with success in mind. This alliance is purely a tactical decision made to increase the odds of success. Together, you form a unit. Whether you trust them or not is irrelevant. Your combined strengths are your hope for making it back. On that note, we need to talk to you about your way back. You will need to locate and step through a replica of the portal through which entered. It will likely not be easy to find as we are yet to know where it could be.
